Get to know me!
I’m Hannah, a 31-year-old living mentally at the beach and physically in Raleigh, NC.
Writing has always been my thing. It started with my first picture book in the second grade (“My Dog Sunshine” – and no, I didn’t actually have a dog named Sunshine) and continued through high school yearbook staff. From there, it took a professional turn at UNC-Chapel Hill (go Heels!) where I studied journalism and then an international turn during a year-long comms internship in breathtaking La Paz, Bolivia.
Since graduating from UNC nearly a decade ago (ouch), I’ve worked at a nonprofit, a marketing agency and, most recently, a marketing agency for nonprofits (shout-out to Angel Oak Creative for creating my dream job and for helping me build this website!) I’m married to my college sweetheart Pierce and a boy mama to a curious toddler named Jessen and a beautiful baby named Shepherd. When I’m not writing on my personal blog or on my Instagram, I also love contributing to a variety of Christian blogs and publications – check out my work here!
Always feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or author requests.
Latest writing update.
While I’ve always wanted to be a children’s author, my desire to publish inclusive children’s literature grew when my second son Shepherd was born deaf. My debut picture book is being published winter 2024 and is a heartfelt children’s bedtime story that explores a tender conversation between a hearing mother and her deaf son. I can’t wait for you to read it!
Don’t be a stranger.
